Welz, C., `The European Social Dialogue Under Articles and of the EC Treaty: Actors, Processes, Outcomes This book deals with certain legal aspects of the European social dialogue as described in the Articles and EC Treaty.

On the one hand, legal problems with regard to the conclusion and implementation of agreements between the European social partners' organisations are discussed. On the other hand, the relation between the European social partners' organisations and the EC   organisation of the social dialogue, all these systems contain the common values and principles of the Union in respect to social and economic rights and are all fully aligned with the conventions of the ILO.

This is the essence of the European social dialogue as enshrined in Articles and of the Treaty of the European   The consultation document called on the European social partners to forward an opinion or recommendation to the Commission on the content of the proposal under consideration in accordance with Article (3) of the EC Treaty, or to inform it of their wish to start negotiations in accordance with Articles (4) and of the EC Treaty.
