Aristocratic Southern society, in its post-bellum heyday, erected a similar façade of gentility and custom to hide the way people really lived. Southern writers like William Faulkner, Flannery O'Connor, and Tennessee Williams contrasted these customs with grotesque caricatures and shocking imagery to amplify the contradictions of Southern society. Firstly, Southern standards link their emergence to the perceived failure of Northern standards to ensure distributional justice. In joining various international critics, Southern standards refer specifically to the unfair burden existing standards place onto producers whilst large multinational companies seemingly capture all the benefits.

The Islamic Center of Southern California fosters an American Muslim identity and commitment to diversity, open-mindness, civic engagement, and community building. Our comunity prides itself on diversity and inclusion. This chapter focuses on the class of global challengers and emergence of the concept and need of globalization. It is pointed out that not just competitors of multinationals, global challengers.

The Mineral Revolution is a term used by historians to refer to the rapid industrialisation and economic changes which occurred in South Africa from the s onwards. The Mineral Revolution was largely driven by the need to create a permanent workforce to work in the mining industry, and saw South Africa transformed from a patchwork of agrarian states to a unified, industrial nation. Despite its relative brevity, this is a dense book that covers a wide range of topics relating to the history and theory of multinational business, each in a balanced but succinct manner. Consequently, it would be an oversimplification to suggest that it embraces a particular set of themes or line of argument.
